A global leader in animal health has recently completed a significant expansion in west-side Lincoln, Nebraska. This 1.4 million-square-foot facility on 145 acres, which is about twice the area of The Vatican, is dedicated to alleviating osteoarthritis pain in dogs and cats, and a Veterinary Medicine R&D registration facility. This expansion not only boosts Zoetis’ capacity to produce innovative treatments but also highlights their commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship as part of their “Driven to Care” initiative. 

Challenges and Solutions:

Providing exceptional comfort for all 950 year-round residents at the Zoetis Vivarium Project was a challenge. Not only that, but this site stands as a pivotal manufacturing hub in Zoetis’ global supply network. These challenges are similar to those found in the City of Hope Cancer Center in Irvine, California. 

One of the solutions, supplied by Hydronic Energy, is the Coil Piping Packages from Griswold Controls. These pre-assembled piping systems are designed to save time and reduce costs, offering over 900 standard configurations that can be readily connected to the system with minimal connections. The inclusion of Manual Balance QuickSet valves in these packages is particularly noteworthy. These valves are equipped with a venturi, graduated memory stop, and Flow Optimizer, which simplifies the static balancing process and enhances overall valve performance.
