Project Name: Delaware County Judicial Building

Description: Delaware County has a new courthouse nearing construction as it continues to invest in the northern section of Delaware’s downtown. Plans call for demolition of the historic but vacant Elks Lodge the county has owned for nine years at 110 N. Sandusky Street to make way for the $32 million, 82,000-square-foot Delaware County Judicial Building. Delaware City Council will consider approval of a rezoning and development plan for the project this evening. Jon Melvin, the county’s facility manager, plans for the demolition of the Elks Lodge in November and excavation work to begin in December.

Description: The University of Kansas Hospital Authority Board has voted to add four floors to the Cambridge North Tower, KU announced Monday, confirming talk of possible expansion when the project was announced in 2014. The $270 million project originally was planned as a seven-story building with 92 beds and a dozen operating rooms. The four new floors — to be finished in 2018 — will add $50 million to the tab, making the project at least $320 million. Construction kicked off in March on the first seven floors and is less than half complete.

Description: Delray Medical Center has begun building a 120,000-square-foot patient tower as part of a $79.4 million expansion. The four-story tower, next to the hospital, will include 96 private rooms, a cardiovascular clinic, expanded endoscopy suites and a five-level parking garage. The new construction is the largest renovation since the hospital opened in 1982. The new building is expected to open by early 2017.

Description: VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) will soon have a new headquarters building in Vicksburg, Mississippi – a structure that will allow major elements of CSD and the Executive Office to be housed under the same roof for the first time in the organization’s history. Project construction, which is expected to last 28 months, began in April and has been long awaited and even longer needed according to ERDC Director Dr. Jeff Holland.

Freshmen are housed on the Northfield Campus. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are housed on the Winnetka Campus.

Project Name: Boston University Center for Integrated Science & Engineering

Location: Boston, MA

Description: A Boston University $140 million, state-of-the-art, nine-story research facility that will bring together life scientists, engineers, and physicians from the Medical and Charles River Campuses. It will contain lab space for approximately 160 researchers, postdoctoral students, and staff, 270 graduate students, and additional space for future faculty. The project installed FlowCon SM Pressure Independent Control Valves on all the AHU’s and other larger HVAC equipment and FlowCon Green Pressure Independent Control Valves on all the smaller HVAC equipment throughout the building.
